Website Design + Photography for a Local Rochester Nonprofit

We’re always happy when we get the opportunity to work with an organization right here in our own neighborhood. Recently, Grim Digital Media worked with The Immanuel Community, An American Baptist Church in Rochester to build a new website from the ground up.

The project started with an in-person meeting to learn more about the church, understand what they needed from their website, and get a feel for their design preferences and the way they wanted to communicate with their community. From there, we developed several design options and worked together to find the right direction for the new site. Once the design was selected, we built the website, refined the layout and content, and worked through the details with the church to make sure the finished site reflected who they are and served the needs of their congregation and community.

We also spent time on location taking new photographs for the website. Having original photography helped give the site a more personal, authentic feel and provided the church with a collection of images they can continue using for their online communications.

Website Maintenance & Support

An important part of the project was making sure the church could manage the site themselves after launch. We showed their team how to make basic weekly updates, while remaining available in the background for questions, more substantial website edits, and ongoing support. We also host the website for them, so they have a local partner to turn to when they need help.

Part of the Rochester Community

This isn’t our first project with an Baptist congregation in the Rochester area. We also recently designed and developed a website for First Rochester, An American Baptist Church. While each organization had its own goals, personality, and communication needs, both projects gave us the opportunity to help a local congregation create a website that is useful, approachable, and easy for their team to maintain.

As part of our commitment to supporting organizations doing good work in our community, we completed this project at our reduced nonprofit rate.
